pro-life action needed: upcoming hearings in the State House
Our friends at New Hampshire Right to Life have informed us that multiple pro-abortion bills are being considered in the NH House of Representatives this week.
On Wednesday, February 15, the House Judiciary Committee will hear testimony on the following bills:
HB271 (pdf), which would repeal the Fetal Life Protection Act (hearing scheduled at 10:30a).
HB224 (pdf), which would remove the penalties for violating the Fetal Life Protection Act, making the act unenforceable (hearing scheduled at 2:30p).
Two state representatives from Windham are involved in the committee: Bob Lynn, Chairman of this committee, and Katelyn Kuttab. Please email Bob and Katelyn (information below) opposing these pro-abortion bills before Wednesday's hearing.
These hearings will take place at the Legislative Office Building (33 N. State Street, Concord, NH) in room 206/208.
Furthermore, multiple pro-life bill hearings will occur on Thursday, February 16:
HB346 (pdf), which would require babies who survive an abortion to receive the same medical care that any other baby receives (hearing scheduled at 9a).
HB562 (pdf), which would require giving women who want to receive an abortion sign an informed consent document that includes the risks (hearing scheduled at 10:30a).
These hearings will take place at the State House Reps Hall (107 N. State Street, Concord, NH).
NH citizens are invited and encouraged to submit written or present oral testimony to the committee. Some of our parishioners are already scheduled to testify! Join them for moral support, to provide your own testimony, or contact your local representatives.
How you can act:
Submit online testimony (instructions [pdf]) about any or all of these bills.
Testify in person (instructions)
email Bob Lynn (rjlynn4@gmail.com) and Katelyn Kuttab (katelyn@kkuttab.com) regarding your thoughts on these upcoming bills.
